Cool Spring Solo Seat

I am shopping around for one and wondering what options are out there. I really don't like the HD seat but love the under seat frame cover but it's so pricey. Anybody else sell under seat frame covers or even a combo for that matter? It's for a 2010 Nightster.
Thanks

Those are about as cheap as they get.....remember.....everything for a Harley is more expensive.....even for us Sportster guys.....Spring seats are the newest thing going....give it time...they will come down in price.

You can buy any solo spring seat from anywhere and make your own mounts & frame cover for around 10 bucks. Here's a link to an old thread I posted.

What thickness steel did you use for the frame cover?

11 gauge. It doesn't do anything but sit there so 16 gauge would be fine too. I have tons of 11 gauge so that's my material of choice.

I wasn't real fond of the H-D spring seat, especially considering its $500 price tag.

After mucho research, I ended up with a Rich Phillips setup that was about $350 including the mounting kit. His website is http://bikersaddles.com/ but he also advertises on ebay as "motherroadcustoms" and the prices are a bit lower there. This is top quality stuff, way nicer than the H-D seat.

Thanks for the info. I looked on the website and it states that the kit is $325 without the seat. Did I read incorrectly?

I'm seeing $200 for the 2010 mounting kit and $250 for the 07-09
