Hey guys I lowered my sporty 3 inches in the rear with a lowering kit, do I need to buy a shorter kickstand? If I have to get the kickstand do you guys recommend any place to buy it thanks.
Yes, you'll need a shorter stand. I found one from a Hugger on Ebay for like $15 shipped when I threw on my Lick's 10" short shocks. My bike was stand too straight up and a small wind would just about tip it over.

How long is this side stand? I'm going to chop my old one and weld it then powder coat it,

I can't remember right off hand, and I'm at work with bike at home, so I can't measure until I get home. I believe it was one inch shorter than my stocker. J&P has them too, as a co-worker pointed out to me when I was trying to find one. You could look online to see.

Yep just been over to licks website and I quote
"This shorty stand is 1" shorter than a stock stand giving the bike the correct center of gravity after a lowering kit has been installed."
Sometimes all it takes is google lol
