I removed my tank and drained it last night...while I was removing the fuel pump I noticed the low fuel float was cocked to one side. I looked at all the sportster fuel pumps I could find on the web and they were all straight. Obviously mine is not right.
I took it down to St. Paul Harley and they said "Oh Yeah you have the old style float" there is a "NEW" one that replaces it. I have a 2010 48 with 700 miles on it so check yours or just see if your low fuel light comes on. Needless to say after a very quick talk with the Service manager he said no problem we will order the part and fix it. Otherwise its $80 to get the new float and do it yourself.
Every time I have been to St. Paul Harley I get treated like I own the place I am very impressed with the Service Dept. and every body in parts, Great dealership !!!
I am having the tank stripped and resprayed silver any suggestions on pinstripes or decals ???
I used twisted chrome vinyl stripes on my helmet....it looks great...and its cheap....you can always change it as your mood changes as well. check them out....lots of styles to choose from. Great customer service.
