Default Stage I kit

Anyone know what the difference between these two kits is 29782-07 and this 29782-07A the later being the newer one?? Thanks

The letter version is the newer one. When Harley updates a part that retro-fits the same part #s before it, they assign a letter at the end. If that part changed again, it would become 29782-07B. "Superseded" is the term used. The last two numbers represent the year that part was introduced.

I know one is 50 state legal and one is 49 state frm what my dealer told me. I have the first one on my XL50 and it works fine.

The newest is supposed to be the latest/greatest and sometimes the superseded part # is no longer available
