Well it happened,
Was riding with some buddies a couple weeks ago, going a little faster than I/we should have been, when a tourist cut us off. With me being in the front, I had to go around the back to miss the car. I hit loose dirt, slowing down I ran up on a small asphalt patch which sent my bike sliding sideways. Still riding the slide, the shifter peg hit the driveway of the service station and flipped me over, and off the bike. The sporty going one direction and hitting a parked truck (in the field) and me hitting the trailer the truck was towing. Resulting in a broken shoulder, 4 broke ribs and lots of road rash. Bike was totaled. After the hospital stay, I examined the bike, motor is still good, wide swingarm is good and wide glide front is good. frame not so good.
I hate when that happens. "ouch"
Now in the market for a new frame, bars, front fender, and a tank..

Man, that sucks...I'm glad you are okay...makes me think about wearing the proper gear (helmet, gloves, jacket, etc.). Hope you and your bike have a speedy recovery. No pun intended ;-)
The frame took the direct hit on the bottom right side right near the brake pedal. Swingarm is still good as well as the motor and front end. I can rebuild with a new/donor frame
