We did ad some footrest on the engine gaurd to strech out on longer rides, she likes the mids, we would like to pull the bars back about an inch if anyone has a suggestion on that id like one.
I like my 2006 XL883 pretty well, but the suspension does kind of feel like it is so stiff that it's like a rigid frame front and rear. But the cornering clearance is quite good. Think I'll test ride a Superlow.

My wife is around 5' 7" and loves her new SuperLow. She has ridden a Dyna for several years and was getting tired of man-handling it. I told her before she bought the Dyna that she should buy a big twin while she was able to handle it. Well she has done that, ticked it off and bought herself something she feels more comfortable with.
I got to ride it yesterday for the first time and it rides better than I expected. As already pointed out, the geometry and suspension, plus wheels make an improved package over previous Sportsters and may be a sign of improvements to come, across the range.
The footrests are a nuisance and don't line up properly with the foot controls IMHO, also those darned spikes would already be in the bin if the bike was mine! But what do I know, hey it's Merlot and that matters almost more than anything else. Stand back chaps!
