YAY! It came! I pick up my '07 883 Low tomorrow at noon. My parents bought me a engine guard, lugage rack, $500 HD gift card.
I have a few things in mind for the gift card but they all add up to less then $100, anyone have any ideas what to get for my bike?
and yes I will post some pics when I get them..... my mother dear already went camra happy at the HD shop... lol got to love family
I would say one of the first things you would need is a windshield. You can buy one of those windshield bags that attach for small incidentals. Good Harley Bags cost more than your gift certificate. Maybe that's something you can save up for or else go aftermarket. I personally like keeping my bike ALL Harley.
I love my 2007 XL883L so far -- and I definitely agree with whaap about the windshield, I drove without one the first week while it was on-order and once it was installed I was amazed at the difference. Much, much more comfortable at speed.
I put a little "bling" on mine-- nicer footpegs and a handlebar clamp. Kind of fun!
Saddlebags are next for me as well. My husband has the Harley premium leather ones and they are *nice*.
Congratulations on the new ride. [sm=smiley32.gif]I am pretty sure that $500.00 will go damn fast at the stealer. Chrome pegs, new grips and maybe a quick release windshield. I would recommend using the first $500.00 to do mods that you will get the most bang from, like the highly visable items or those that might make long term sense. If you plan on riding two up in the future it might be good to get a two up seat, rear pegs and mounts so you have them when the time comes.
