Hey everyone,
SO I decided that I want to get the bassani sweepers for my iron this summer and that I am going to do the install myself. If anyone you hit me up with what I need in order to do the install ( other than the pipes ) obviously I would really appreciate it. I know that I need to get a tuner and I think Im going to get the PC V. Also has any1 ordered from JPcycles and if so how was your experience with them ?
Thank you in advance ... any and all input is appreciated
Matt
install was straight forward. various socket sizes and extensions required to fit in tight places but pretty easy. if you're keeping the stock air cleaner it needs to be trimmed or it will touch the pipes and melt on them. search the box for instructions, the mounting bracket and hardware. I missed this little baggy until I was done. the whole time I was thinking this seems hoakey, like parts are missing. They were there the whole time, I just missed them.
Bike ran fine without tuning, just installed a nightrider x14ied and it runs better now, much smoother, supposed to lower the heat levels also but I rode several hundreds of miles with pipes and no mods.
Sounds like you two should have your bikes retuned then or you guys are now running without the heat shields. Your stock exhaust gets to the same heat too, but it's covered by heat shields.

yup no heat shields here, they're ugly on the sweepers IMO. give and take though. I just installed the X14IED to lower heat a little, big difference.

Agreed, thought about the shields but decided against them. Does the X14IED take place of a tuner? Confused by this as it appears to only be a cable, does it have a hard coded setting?
