I put the 48 pillion pad on mine when my wife wants to ride with me and funnily enough I've had several compliments lately about the bike with the P Pad on so I've left it on at the moment!
HD makes a bolt on passenger pillion for the 48 and it's not prices all that bad. You could also get a Phantom pad, but the HD pillion is about the same price and it bolts on vs sucksion cups.
That's what I had on my bike, it is a really nice pad. You just take off the bolt on the rear of the seat, relocate the seat tab to the rear seat, slide the tab into the main seat, then bolt the pilon to the fender hole. It even has a plastic washer to protect the paint.
