Can't tell from most peoples'"Handle" if they are man or woman . Ladies please check in- I'm just curious? What bike do you ride now- what other bikes have you had and how long have you been riding and where are you located? I will start off- Live north of San Diego, Ca. , have had a Rebel 250, Maruader 800, Intruder 800, Intruder 1400, V star 1100, 81 shovel with Kickstart and 1200 sporty. Been riding slightly over 5 years on my own and on back of hubbys bikes since age 16.
Lady here. SF Bay Area. I've been riding since I was 15 1/2. (20 years now) My first bike was a brand new 85 Honda Rebel. (Everyone thought it was a Harley back then!) then I had an '81 Yamaha XS400, '82 XS650, '02 Suzuki GSX750F Katana and now a '05 XL1200C.
I am a big fan of ACDC and hywy2hl is my plate! (And "handle" as you say.) So, there you go......
I live in Fortville, IN. I have been riding since March 05. I started on a 2003 Honda Shadow 750 ACE. Then in June 05 I bought a 2005 Sportster 1200C. I just traded in the Sporty for a 2000 Dyna Wideglide.
I'm a lady...though I don't always act like one. I just started riding my own bike in July 06. I have ridden behind my husband for 20 years. Hubby bought me an 06 883 custom.
I started riding in 1988, when I bought my first bike, an 883 Hugger. I traded that bike in for a 1992 Softail Springer. I sold the Springer in 1997 and now my new bike is due in on October 23, a 2007 883L. I'm in The Bronx, NY.
I have been riding for about 5 years. I started off with a used Suzuki Savage 650 thumper. Fun little bike, but WAY too much vibration once I started riding great distances. Then I bought a new 03 Suzuki Intruder 800. It was a great bike and I rode the heck out of it. The only reason I got rid of it was that peanut of a gas tank. Gas stations aren't real plentiful in NM and planning gas stops became a hassle. When I saw the restyled Sporty low, I really liked it. Has a nice sized tank and 1200 gives me all the power that I really need anyway. I bought it May 31st of this year.
Just getting the caffeine level up before I take off here with some friends for a 300 mile ride today!
just purchased mine July this year. 1200low '07, white gold pearl/vivid black. first bike ever. I love it!!! Rode on back of my husbands for 5 months before picked mine up from dealer. ( I fell in love fast, after riding on back;HAD to have my own) took the MSC. the weekend of july 4th. that was the beginning of the rest of my life's story.
