Thanks Ferm and DE. Good info on the maintenance details. Lovin your iron Simmy, What handlebars are those and did it require new cables? Love the cafe racer style.
The bars are actually the stockers just flipped end over end and turned up side down. I did not have to change any cables. Just stripped the bars down then did the flip/rotate and put everything back on. It was a little tricky getting the tension off the brake line, you have to barely break the tension off the brake banjo then push it down to take the tension off then tighten it back up so no air gets in the line. You'll see the pictures soon and feel free to ask any questions.
Its so true that once you own a harley all you want to do is ride! My wife laughed at me cause all winter I was on youtube watching bike videos cause I was having withdrawls. No worries now better weather is around the corner!
Welcome. Sharp ride for sure. As far as I'm concerned, EVERY Harley rocks. Hell, I even like the old Aermacchi's and AMFs. Have a safe and fun riding season!
Went out for a few hours with pops last night and rode around practicing figure 8's and down shifting. I am lovin the bike so far. Got my safety class this weekend, just hope the weather holds up here in CO.
