I have SE II exhaust on my 02 883. They were on the bike when I bought it last year. I have looked for a part number on them, but can't seem to locate the number. Next time I go up to the dealer I will ask. They had originaly sold the bike new, and had done all the upgrades there at the dealer before I bought the bike from a friend. They did the 1200 conversion also, so they have the complete history of my sporty in their system.
When buying off eBay, how do you know if it is the right SE II. I have a 2003 Sportster 883 Custom. Anyone know the part number I need? I'm pretty sure the ones I got are the right ones, part number 80429 9AF.
80429 9AF
That is not a Harley part #. Harley part #s take the form xxxxx-xx, where the last two #s represent the first year the part was produced. If a change is made to the part, a letter is added to the end of the string, starting with "A" and going up with each additional change. If the part is changed so significantly that it no longer retrofits previous versions, an entirely new part # is issued.
I would expect the '04 and up Screamin' Eagle II slip-ons to end with an 04 suffix.
If the above # you gave is stamped in the part, perhaps the "A" has been misinterpreted and is actually an "8" or a "4".

I'm hoping they just had a little dyslexia and typed it in wrong. I think the right part number is 80249-99A.
I have a set of SEII, they came off a 06 1200C, that i want to get rid of, went with VH Short shots. I have the whole exhaust package from engine back with the cross over and shields, if any body is interested, offer me a fair price and they are yours.
I just scored a set of the SE II slash down, Sportster, for '04 and up still in the unopened box.
The part # is 80423-04. The manufacture date on the box is October '05. I imagine the slash outs are a different #, but the suffix is "04".
For comparison, I paid $125, local pick-up.

I put mine on and love the SE II! Now if I could figure out what baffles are in them. The price you pay for buying used ones on eBay from someone who nothing about them. Got them for $100 shipped!
