hey guys im getting ready to order my vance and hines exhaust and heavy breather air cleaner and im wondering if i should get the power commander or bring it to harley and get the screaming eagle tune?
techlusion tfi is the best and also not expensive. you can tune that thing how ever you want it. mine is set a bit richer and my bike is a rocket (with v&h pipes and ness big sucker)!
The SERT is the best tuner, but the PCV is nearly as good for much less money. What are you trying to do? If you want to go to the edge of performance, the you need the SERT. If not, then the PCV is probably better for you.
Hi,
I have the Cobra USA system on my 2009 Sportster, it works quite well and it came highly recommended.
Check out all the options, taking it to Harley Stealership is expensive.
I had my installed in 45mins. instructions were clear and the diagrams were spot on.
All the best,
Wayneo1
My personal rec. is Zippers Thundermax/Autotune. I've had it for almost a year now and the performance has been outstanding. I had the HD download at first and it is quite limited. The T-Max does not require any dyno, also.
I got the PC III for my XL50. I'll list the upsides and down sides to both that I know of.
SERT can get deeper into the system and a good tuner can fine ture your bike more than with a PC. The SERT is not mounted on the bike so that is nice as well, no extra wire or module to hide. bad thing is once a SERT is used on a bike it's only good for that very bike.-cannot use it on a differant bike later on.
The PC cost less and will give you just about all the tuning options you will need. Down side is you have to mount it on the bike, but it can be removed and used on a differant bike later on if need be.
The factory race tuner if in the right hands is personally the best I think if you have someone who actually cares about the performance of the motorcycle...but for the cost I don't know if you want to pay that much... the power commander is a lot more user friendly and I am sure some of these other ones people are referring to are good too but I don't know much about them.
