Default Need help

Hey guys i have read as much as i can on air cleaners. I have a 2002 1200 custom. It has bubby pipes. I bought it used from a guy and have never heard of the pipes. I need an after market air cleaner. I like the ones on figure machine. They arent super expensive and look nice. But the have stage 1-3 and then a round 5 inch and 4 inch. I like the stage 3 but what else do i need for this exactly. Let me know what you guys think. Also they are saying they have breather bolts and need no hoses. Is this okay? If i buy the kit does it have everything i need to get it put on and run?

Hey thanks for the help. But i ment to say also that all i have is pipes done to the bike. I want the stage 3 and i only have pipes. Do i need to do antyhing else to my bike besides the pipes. I know it sounds stupid but just want to know if i can use the stage 3 kit with a stock motor and exhaust pipes.

I think their stage 3 is what is included with the air cleaner which is the face plate and the metal that goes around the filter which their stage 1 does not have that. So yes you can use this with the stock motor just need to check on the carb jetting Im sure someone else might be able to help better with that.

Now everyone else considers a stage 1 upgrade, exhaust, intake, and rejetting the carbs.
I am not exactly sure but i think stage 2 involves changing the cams, and stage 3 involves reworking the heads.

This link explains it better.

I am not comfortable enough with touching the carb. Nor do i know where to start. Also can some one tell me how they know what jets to use? Isnt there different ones?
