Default primary drainplug oring

I knew once I saw the oring, broken, that if I went to Harley they would charge me too much for just one.

So I went to Lowes and got 10 of them for under $2.00. Many miles later and a couple days sittin there while I was working and no leaks.

I just took the old one in and matched it up to the ones they had in plumbing.

Exactly what I have done with LOTS of parts on my bike. Stuff that can come from the hardware/auto parts store go on. The dealer charges a premium for their name. That's all.

Ace Hardware is also a good place for fasteners and O-rings, etc..

agree on the oil filter. I believe its a 30micron filter for proper flow.

You are correct. You have to be careful buying those K&N/Fram/Wix filters because they are not 30 micron.

Bumping this old thread. Haven't changed the oil on mine yet, so don't know what o-rings and gaskets are used. But I just got some parts from J&P, and I got the 5/8" coppergaskets, but now I'm starting to wonder if it's the wrong gasket?

Is this gonna fit, or do I have to get some rubber o-rings?

On the primary drain plug, there is a rubber o-ring on it. That washer you posted isn't necessary. You don't necessarily need to replace the o-rings and rubber gaskets every time you take it off/out. If its not leaking, I'm not going to mess with it.

Yeah, but the copper washer is supposed to replace the o-ring, right?
