Nothing crazy. Some hex and torex bits, usual sockets and wrenches to pull the muffler, and a torque wrench. Like I said, it was really a simple job.

Did you guys just get the HD kit, or buy some after market one? If an aftermarket one stretched them out a bit farther than the HD kit I'd elect to go that route.

Not to hijack this but since we're talking about fwd controls, does anyone know the part number for the clevis that the peg rides in on forwards( in black/raw)? I need something like that to solve my passenger peg situation.

Don't know the part #, but you just reminded me you also need a pair of snap ring pliers.

Also, I did the HD kit. It wasn't the exact kit number for my bike according to the dealer, but was the last chrome set they had. We looked at the parts list, and the only difference was the pin. Everything looked good to me, so I tried it. Everything installed just fine. 33395-06A was listed, 33395-06 worked just fine.

The freaks at my local stealer said the same thing to me about dyna. I asked him about sawing the olds shaft off inside the inner primary and he looked at me like I was on fire. Easy job, maybe one hour total.

Is there a gasket or anything to replace when r/r the exhaust?
