But with the total cost of shipping since its kinda heavy, I guess its more justifiable if I get the 1200 kit, at least I still get to keep my 883 for backup.

Anyway, whats the difference in power like for 1200 and 1250, its only 50cc, can you really feel it?

Typically, comparing Stage 1 to Stage 1, an NRHS 1250 kit will make about 10 hp more than a 1200. Yes, you can feel that.

There may not be much to chose between the 1200 and 1250 kits from NHRS, but the difference of either from your 883 is significant! Scroll down that latest link xFreebirdx posted. But that is not the point, you either want a '1200' or you don't! The simplest way of getting it for you is to buy a complete Street Dominator kit, which comes with all the parts you need in one package. No need to use your 883 cylinders.

If you are in US service of some kind you should be able to get these things despatched to you on favourable terms I would have thought. But you should already know that! If you are local to Singapore be aware you will find shipping costs from the USA expensive and in addition you may have import duties and other costs to pay. You should look into them with care!

Once you understand the implications of receiving a foreign package, email NHRS and get their shipped price and agreement that they are happy to send stuff to you. That does not apply to every country in the World!

If you don't have one get yourself a factory service manual for your bike. Don't bother with the other brand ones.

To bore it is $524, the full kit is $740, for just a lil bit more, most people will just get the full kit right?

I do have an address in texas which I might be able to get free shipping back here but its only gonna come end of this year or even later. But I'm sure it'll work out better for me that way. However, fixing it up its gonna be an a**, here in singapore, we dont get to have our own garages to do up our own stuff. Probably have to bring it to a mech, and they charge high, real high.

You have your bike out there, and it sounds as if you had better enjoy it like it is for a while. No harm working out what mods you would like, when you are able to do them! If a return to the USA is in the forseeable future, it may be worth waiting until then?

There's a dude in NC that own's a machine shop that apparently specializes in these conversions. He has a shop called Jim's V-twin Performance and you can find him on ebay. Seems like he may be a viable option and would be willing to work with the customer. I haven't contacted him yet, but I will as soon as I begin planning my "step-up".

A current auction is here: Big Bore Kit

Neither will add to the wear and tear cause mainly your limited to your rev limiter anyways and you can build modified 883's to have as much power as the modified 1200s The bottom end of Sportster motors are predominately bullet proof, tested again and again.

There are also some guys that modify the hell out of their 883's.

Yeah that, I surprise alot of people when I need too.
