Finally got my Pirelli Night Dragon put on the bike.
WOW. as expected from Pirelli what a difference compared to the skid happy Dunlop.
I still haven't taken it fir a good run yet as I had my old tire on the back.
But doing a hard rear brake it just stuck like glue and before the Dunlop would have been sliding.
I know I won't get no where the thread life but I want something that sticks.
I really favor pirellis as I had a new set on a prev bike before and I swear those puppies saved my skin braking for a tbone which I accomplished.
I picked it up shipped and taxes in for 179 here in Canada.
Any of the European brands, Avon, Metzeler, Michelin and Pirelli will give improved ride and handling. We are more concerned about them than long tyre life. Avons are my own favourites.
Yeah my stock rear dunflop has 6220 miles on it. And it's at 2/32's, barely passed inspection. Going to be getting a new tire when I get back from vacation probably going to go with an avon venom.
I just replaced my factory Duflops on my 2011 FxDWG. Super super happy with the front and rear Pirelli Night Dragons. The bike rides smoother, feels more stable and built great confidence. Now... I can just cruise. My GT502 rear tire was showing belt material at 6,000 and my front tire was cupped beyond belief even though I watched my air pressure like a hawk. I also went from a 21" 80/90 up front to a 21" 90/90. It made a huge difference.
