Another Speedo Question/ Codes
Hello everyone. New Harley rider here and had a couple questions. I searched all the other topics and think I may have a solution but wanted to be sure before I went out and bought any parts. I purchased a 1998 XLC Sportster 883 and the speedometer doesnt work. The amber light comes on and I checked the codes and d02, d08,d10 are set. The book says d02 is speed sensor power output shorted high or open, d08 is speedometer power overvoltage and d10 is speed output shorted low or open. The speedometer nor the odometer works but it does light up and I have all other turn signals working, etc. Anyone have this similar or same problem and know exactly what it is. Id hate to spend a few hundred $$$ for a dealer to do something I should be able to fix myself-hopefully. Thanks.

For my year bike, Harley makes an electrical diagnostics manual. My bikes EFI, so im not sure if theres a specific book for your year. If they make one, I'm sure you can narrow your problem down a lot further.
