Just picked up my new quick detach windshield from harley part # 58063-04 on my lunch break. Was reading the instructions on my way back to work and it sounds like a pain. Has anyone done it and is it as bad as it sounds? One picture has the throttle cable completly off the handle bar and looks tough. I have a 2007 1200C custom.
It's not that bad. Putting the clamps together is a small PITA, but you only have to do it once. Should take you about 15 mins. Just make sure that you have plenty of soft space to work with that you can lay the shield down on and it will make it easier.
Thanks for the advice. It took a total of 10 minutes. No cables to move or anything. Looks a little funny, just not used to it yet. Can't ride tonight, might wake the neighbors. Will ride to work in the am and see the results. Thanks for the replies.
