Default Windshields

Just looking for some basic feedback on windshields and hardware....and $$$,

I saw the Harley one on a sportster in the showroom last week....Kinda nice and had the quick release clamps..... a bit pricey though....

I'm not really looking to spend 335.00 for this unless i have no other choice....

i saw the Memphis shades and the detachable hardware for 80 and 110 ....around 190 total...

are the Memphis shades any good.... i was looking at the Del Ray in a dennis kirk book....

Mine's a detachable HD (sorry- it came with the bike so I have no idea what the cost was), but it's not the clamp style; it "pops" on to a set of permanently-installed rubberized mounting bolts. Works fine for me, but the mounting hardware does remain after removing the windshield. I'm too busy enjoying the ride to notice that minor detail, though![sm=biker.gif]

Most of the aftermarket brands out there are decent. It's really depends on what you want. Some people are concerned about how well it protects and some people are more concerned about how it looks.

Just my 2cents.... quick release is is generally not worth the money. Hard mount windshields don't take that long to install or remove (2 min). I have both a quick release HD supersport windshield, and a hard mount big ugly windshield...

Whaap is right... it depends on what you want. I have the super sport for summer rides to keep bugs off my face, and I have the big ugly to keep the majority of wind of me when it is cold.
