Has anybody had their kickstand fall off? I've got an 03 1200c and last night when I pulled in the garage I noticed I didn't have a kickstand anymore. It was dark and I was pissed so I just have it leaning on a cinder block under the left foot peg. I don't know what's missing but I'm guessing I'll have to replace everything. Just curious if anybody has run into the same problem and what I'm in for in searching for replacement parts and ultimately how to prevent it from happening again.
I just lubricated mine because it was squeaking, but I didn't check the bracket to make sure the bolts were solid....I'll check that tonight, thanks for the reminder.
I got my '08 1200c a few weeks ago. The kid I bought it from said he lost the kickstand on it the first weekend he had it. Broke the end cap off the throttle grip leaning it on the wall at the dealer. I thought that was unusual....guess not.

Thanks,
From what I can see on the IPC, Illistraded Parts Catalog, picture it is retained by a "Pretzel clip" another word a snap ring.
