This has been discussed more times than I can count, I know everyone is gonna go "Oh chit, not this again" , blah, blah blah, but it finally happened to me, so I gotta report. I brought my car in for service yesterday. Had a different SA than usual. On his desk was a pic of his old lady and granddaugher on a bike. So's I ask, " What are we riding?" He says shes got a Fatboy and I've got a "99 Dyna Wideglide." I go "I've got a Sporty 1200L". Without hesitation, he goes "That's a girls bike". Without hesitation I said "Let me check", then backed away from the service desk, grabbed my crotch and said "Nope, the guys are all here". He looks at me dumbfounded for a moment and then cracked up laughing, then we talked bikes.
I just got my Sportster this weekend and someone said that to me at work. It was a friend, and they were just ribbing me, but my response was "Well slap my *** and call me Sally, because I love it!".
An almost stranger asked me about my Iron, and I elaborated and said "yeah, its a Sportster" and he replied, "ah, a SKIRTster"...............I then asked "have you ever ridden?", he answered, "Nope", I ended the conversation by saying "and your opinion counts for nothing BITCH".

True story.
It always blows my mind when you meet some poser who doesn't even ride, who has strong opinions about certain bikes.
Its like listening to guys who don't own an AR15 talk about how they jam. Makes me want to either laugh hysterically, or beat them senseless with their shoe.
