Default Remove Pulley Cover.

I am thinking about removing the pulley cover, but I am not sure exactly how to do this or what modifications(if any) it would require. If you removed your pulley cover will you please explain how you did so and any problems that you ran into. Thanks.

Jesus man no need to shout.

Just unbolt the damn thing and put it on a shelf.

And then make DAMN sure you never have a loose boot lace or pant leg that can get caught in it....

Insert appropriate size hex wrench in the 3 bolts holding the cover on and remove bolts. Pull cover off.
If your exhaust pipe(s) is in the way (depends on what you have), remove it and reinstall.

Today I removed the pulley cover, and to my disappointment, realized that it would have to go right back on. The footpeg and rear brake master cylinder are mounted directly to the pulley cover itself, and without it there is nothing to mount them to. Here are some photos.

Well that sucked ***.

IMHO it'd look craptastic without chopping the cam cover anyhow.

Eh the pully looks rusty anyway.

If you really wanted to go bare, send that pulley out for powder coat and then show it off.

Another route to go...

Remove the pulley cover. Drill with a hole saw about a 3" or so hole to reveal the pulley like Slackster did on here...
