I would call that a very good trade. Nice looking machine. Good luck with your parts search and post pictures again when you're finished.

Thanks guys, I just started the stripping down today, I didn't have my camera on me sadly or I would have got pictures. But Im pulling the engine tomorrow and I'll be sure to get pictures of everything. So far I can see Im going to need cases of course, and another clutchbasket-mine is cracked- and while I've got her all stripped down Im seriously considering a set of P cams and possibly a little Billy Squier if the budget allows. Best Wishes Guys. -Joe

Looks to me like you need a new engine, that inner primary, engine block and tranny case are cast as one it will cost a pretty penny to buy an after market block and then have your innards put in it, Id bet close to $5000, it would be cheaper to buy an engine off ebay and just change it out. It is a darn good looking bike and will be worth the trouble when done.

Im bidding on cases now, and Im doing the work myself, no dealership deals for me, I dont have the vaseline for that kind of cash. lol about 400 for used cases, 750 for new cases, 350 for oem clutch basket, 480 for stage 1 clutch basket, decisions, decisions lol

there is a kit from nastybikes.com kinda pricey, but all depends on how bad you want it. http://nastybikes.com/primary_belt_dr_nasty.htm

wouldn't work in my case because the case is busted so bad the starter wasn't even connected to the engine.
