Default Scoots, Apartments, Winter, and Texas

So the last two winters, I was living in a house and could keep my 2010 883 in the garage during the winter. This year, I'm in an apartment. it's on the 2nd floor, so bringing the scoot inside isn't an option. That said, I'm in Texas, and it rarely gets under 45-50 during the winter. What would you folks recommend for the winter? Rent a storage shed? Or should I just cover the bike and run it a little more often to keep everything flowing?

And yeah, I realize how dumb these questions probably are.

I live in apartment in SoCal. I have a carport and just keep my bike covered. That's it. I ride it so no need to start it when it is sitting. If you don't have some sort of structure to cover it from the rain get a cover.

Most apts have garages in Houston. Have you asked a neighbor to use there's and slip them some cash every month. I pay $50 a month for a 1 bay at my apartment.

Ride Ride Ride , i ride year round here in Pennsylvania , it gets down to the teens and sometimes single digit temps . the snow and ice make it a challenging ride . so i say ride, ride , ride i wish it would only go to the 50s -40s , again ride ride ride, and maybe throw a cover over it during the night or rainy weather .

I'd be concerned with theft, not aesthetics or maintanence.

Don't store it. I'm not storing mine and it gets mighty cold here in NY. I plan on riding it (hopefully) once a week. Starting it up every other day or so.

Have any local non-riding buddies with a little extra garage space?

Anywhere at work you could park it?
