Default Gloves

The weather is getting colder and my hands are lasting less and less time as a result. Last year I just hung the jacket up and parked the bike. I don't want to do that this year. I could obviously wear my ice climbing gloves and be solid, but they're a little out of spec for riding. Interested to see what sorts of gloves you fellas are rockin' to fend off the chill.

I put a thin pair of helly Hansen liner gloves inside my leathers and it works well. If you plan on riding til the snow flies you may want to buy a heated pair.

Good idea, I have some Mountain Hardwear liners that I'm going to try out. Don't know why I didn't last year.

I honestly don't know I have the Harley glove liners but my hands are usually still cold riding. I'm good during the day but I work until midnight and i usually come home with really cold hands. I end up touching the engine to keep them warm.

It sucks and what's just as bad is buying those thick gloves. Screw that noise. Those things make me feel detached from the throttle/clutch/brake.

IMO, Nothing beats a pair of Gerbing heated gloves if your serious about cold weather riding. It's money well spent.

I'm a cyclist as well and ride outdoors all year long in the nasty *** mid-atlantic climate. I've found the type of gloves that work for cycling very useful for the moto as well. Seems to be that a "windstopper" feature is critical, and you'll need something that isn't slippery on the controls - forget about fleece if the handgrip area is fleece, too. Trouble is, anything that is non-slip will also get colder. http://www.coloradocyclist.com/product/display/40604/

That said, my best pair of riding gloves in the cold are my Tourmaster Synergy Heated Gloves. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...es---2011.aspx . There are no conditions in which I can stand to ride that these gloves don't keep my hands toasty warm! I also have a heated vest, and it's great to ride down the road with cagers looking at you like you're freezing your *** off, but you're really toasty warm and cozy.

+1

Best thing I ever did was buy gerbing heated gloves. I wasted money with liners and other "winter" gloves. If you plan on riding in temperatures lower than 45 degrees for longer than an hour heated gloves will make the ride much more enjoyable.

I'm done with the days of getting home after a ride and my hand being so cold I can't turn the key on my bike

I wear Fox Creek deer skin gauntlets, which are fine for now. When it gets colder, I will get myself some Gerbings heated gloves. I went through last winter with only the gauntlets and it was very hard at times - especially when the temperature gets to 20
