Only just started to notice this, happened a couple of times in hot to cold environments like a cold start in the shed and then riding it out into the sunlight. Its only a bit on the clock LCD screen
It is still under warranty (bought new 2011 iron 883), should I take it back to fix or is this just something to live with? Moisture menas corrosion and I dont want that. If I do take her in under warranty I may as well get em to do the rocker gaskets, again!
If those are under warranty why would you not want to get them fixed? You are paying for warranty as part of the purchase price even though it is not itemized on your sales contract. Every vehicle sold has that built into the MSRP. Had the fogging problem on an ATV. Thought it would go away, it would and then came back as soon as the humidity changed.. Finally brought it in on the last week of the warranty and they replaced the unit. Hasn't fogged since. Water had gotten in sometime while sitting at the dealers and they said it was a faulty unit as those are supposed to be water tight. Rocker covers should also be a no brainer. Get em fixed on their dime.

i have had this problem a couple time and have heard about it several times. I often wonder if its not necessarily that the housing isn't holding a seal, but that the speedo wasn't vacuum sealed from the factory. If the gauge is put together in a high humidity environment and not vacuum sealed, then obviuosly when the lens of the gauge quickly meets an atmosphere of significant differential temperature from the air inside the gauge, any humidity trapped in the gauge will immediately condensate onto the lense. This will happen repeatedly if the seal is actually good because the trapped moisture can never escape. Just a scientific approach........ also, if you can't replicate the problem at the shop, they will often turn you away for "warranty" work.
