Thanks man. Yeah honestly I do love the bars but sometimes they look funky to me too. But, dad gave them to me and he likes them on there so I couldn't take them off now lol.
Have you considered taking the bars and sectioning out like 2-3 inches from the middle to make them more narrow? Just a thought, and it would still be his bars. I like where you moved the rear blinkers. Nice job!
I'm still working on the bike. Got new brake lines running, put on some new brake pads. Having a small issue with the master cylinder set up. Easy fix, just have to do it. The current set up has the rod from the brake pedal to the master cylinder running at an angle. It pushes the master cylinder in a little bit and then down instead of completely straight in. Having a small issue with brake fluid seeping around the plunger inside the master cylinder when it does that, and because of that fluid seeping back down, I can't get complete pressure to the brake pads. The pads grip tight but not tight enough. So I modified the sprocket cover to allow me to bolt the master cylinder to it. This makes the rod from the brake pedal run straight instead of at an angle and push back straight instead of down. Just gotta finish mounting everything up. I'll post pics when I finish it up.
I mounted the master cylinder to the sprocket cover today. Made a new brake linkage and connected it all together. The brake pedal pushes the master cylinder straight in now so mission accomplished there. Only problem is I've misplaced one of the bolts that holds my sprocket cover on so I've gotta find it.
I dont have a camera and the phone's on charge. Lol. I'll get those pics up by tonight. I did find the other bolt so everything is bolted back together. Gonna bleed the brakes and hopefully take a ride.
