Default t-bars on a 883 low

ive been wanting to put t-bars on my new sporty i picked up after my accident. but ive been putting it off because im not good with the dimensions of tbars, i already have 12 inch bars on it right now thats including the risers. i know that t-bars are different, i dont want to have to pick up new cables. i just want to bolt them on a go. what rise do i need to get to achieve this. i want to put what i have on the now 12 inch bars, but i think im going to need something smaller to compensate for the width plus the rise? anyone got some info on this i could really use it.

When my 883L was stock, I switched my bars to t-bars. 6 inch rise with 2 inch pullback. But beware, they will vibrate your elbows out! After about 3 months, I literally threw them in the trash. They look good, but no way to use vibration dampeners. I now have 13 inch bonanza bars on mine and love it.

got the bars put on and they are incredibly comfortable. they go really well with my quarter fairing. now im working on getting another bike for a nice big project. a nice old 45 flathead, its got a hydra glide front end but needs some work done to it motor wise. the good thing is i already know what needs to be done to it.

Howabout some pictures? I've been wondering what they will look like on a Sporty.

I put 8 inch T bars on mine and was able to use the stock clutch cable, but I replaced the brake line.

i will get some pictures up as soon as i can get some taken, when i put the tbars on i already had extended cables for 12in mini apes on it so it was just a unbolt bolt on kinda thing. fairly easy i just had to use lots of loctite to be safe. but first time i went out on the bike was to the lonestar rally and i was happy with the handling of it. the bars plus the quarter faring are absolutely awesome, awesome control and the wind resistance is perfect.
