Default Intake removal????

There has to be a better way! After 2 hours of customizing an allen wrench,I finally got it off! I was able to put hex head bolts back in the left side but not the right! Anyone have a secret weapon to remove the stock intake bolts? What a pi$$ poor design by HD!

I have a small socket set from sears, it's got a ratchet on both ends one of which is 1/4" so I just use a short piece of 1/4" allen wrench in it.

Those are a pain. I have loaned my "customized allen wrench" out several times to friends.

I think HD makes a "special tool" for this application.

lol. Here's a pic of what the end looks like, it'll work on a slight angle. I use a wrench (I bought a fairly long one for that purpose) or a crescent to turn it. Still a really tight space to work in, but these help.

Yep! I went out and bought a set! Changed out my gaskets this afternoon! Sure made life easier!
