Default Handlebar Issues

I have a 1995 Sportster 883 that I bought a few months ago. The bars that are on it now are 12 inch mini apes with 4-4.5 inch risers...yes it looks retarded like that. I have a set of drag bars with an 8 inch rise a buddy gave me. My question is can I put these drag bars on without having to worry about getting new clutch and throttle cables? Or will the current cables be too long to adjust?

They will work...should not have any adjustment problem. But you might not be able to re-route them in a way that you are happy with the looks...give it a try, you can always get shorter ones if they are sticking out too much. I would think the throttle cables will be more difficult to "hide" the extra length than the clutch. Front brake line should be easy too.
