I'm sure the regulars here hate this but I need suggestions. Over last few days I replaced the intake and carb to intake seals on my 06 883c. I had an off idle pop and sometimes stumble. This wasn't everytime I took off. But at times could get irritating. I also put in CV Performce ez adjust enrichment needles. I adjusted according to instructions and I seem to still have same problem. I have also changed plugs and I have had carb back off to check that everything went back together correctly. Any ideas?
My bike is stock with 8,665 miles. The only thing I have done is cut out the internal baffles from the stock mufflers. From what I'm reading online the timing isn't adjustable. And Sporty those are the exact articles I used to get to where I am now.
The ignition timing on an 06 with the stock ICM is not adjustable.
Really, no adjustment, even at the ignition sensor? OK
I thought all internal combustion motors required some device / or method to set the ignition timing correctly. Always thought there were variables that needed to be adjusted and set correctly.
Funny thing is it runs out fine on the road with some rpm. I just can't see a stock bike needing any more jetting than what it has now. I'm no expert though. I know I could be wrong.

That's only about 1500 miles per year, which would make me think you might have a gummed up carb. Have you rebuilt the carb or tried running a couple of tanks of gas with Seafoam in it to see if that helps?
