Looks much better with the 48 tank and that fender should look sweet on there. I'm anxious to hear your thoughts on those Firestones once you get them mounted. I've been eying up a set and with almost 8000 on my stockers that time is getting close.
i don't know if you got an answer or not, but that first pic you posted, if you look really close, looks like round bar of some kind bent into shape with body steel welded to the top of it. From the bottom it looks too thick to just be sheet metal.
^^^wtf are you talking about? what first pic? the first pic of the fender fab i posted a couple pages ago? it's round bar welded around the outside of the fender which was just flat stock sheet metal, pounded out with a hammer. does that answer your question?

thanks ArleeD. he just did an efi crazyorange inspired tank on some guys iron over on chopcult and it looks bitchin. some old school paint on that bitch and shes gonna look gnarly!
Now this one I dig the **** out of...tank, fender, bars and all. Their tanks and fenders...not so much. Though I don't see how any of these tiny fenders will help much at all, I only chopped 2" off my stocker and it flips **** all over, helmet to ***.
^^^who gives a **** if it don't function as good as a full fender, i don't mind some grime up my back or what have you, makes me feel alive and more importantly i have to have that bratty crazyorange look. yeah rene can do up skinny, tall frisco style efi tanks for anyone of us late model guys. also mulling over some attack bars, woot woot!
ERGO-i'm gonna do a custom paint job from backstreet buckets over the fall. i'll rock it like this for now, kinda diggin it.
