Stuck in a bind....
So I'm planning on changing out my exhaust and cant fully figure out which route I want to go. I've been contemplating this issue since I got the bike in September and each time I think I'm sure, I second guess myself and pull back for more time to think.
Here's the deal, I'm currently running the Screaming Eagle slip-ons and they sound pretty good when the bike is cold and just starting up. My issue with them is once I ride (like i stole it) for a bit and dismount myself I hear sound of the motor and the cylinders over the sound of my exhaust. I've asked a few friends that know NOTHING about bikes and they tell me that my bike really isnt loud enough (and they hate the "loud" bikes). Is this normal?!?!?!?!
Anyways, I'm contemplating;
Vance and Hines Side Shots - (I've heard shortshots and I like the sound but I like the look of the side shots better)
or
Vance and Hines RSD Tracker - (I've never heard the sound of these and I'm getting mixed signals from youtube videos.)
Is anyone familiar with the 2?
I plan on dynoing the bike once I figure out which system to get and I'm sure the 2:1 will perform better but I'm more concerned with the sound. However if the sound of the Tracker is NOT that much lower than the Side Shots then I'd go for the Tracker for the performance with the sound over just the sound.
Please advise. Thanks.

Although I personally dont care to be "loud" I'm trying to figure out what will be loud enough to still hear after riding hard so I still hear the exhaust over the motor rather than how it is now.
You can also quiet down the sewing machine noise a little with a full syn oil like Redline (or many others) if you are not using it already....but there is always going to be some on the Sportys.

Also, I'd try looking for something other than V&H. Their exhaust is good, but it is overdone. Meaning...everyone and their dog has V&H on their bike. However, I love the look and sound of the sideshots and don't much care for the sound on the tracker.
All that said, it's still your bike and you should get what you want.
For the record, no 2-in-1 will ever sound as good as a 2 pipe set-up. But, as you already know, performance will be greatly enhanced, and it's not like they sound "bad" either.

On a recent ride, a guy pulled in behind me on highway on sportbike. We were passing few cars so he got to hear the Bobcats pretty good threw accel and decel. When we got to first set of lights in town he pulled up beside me and complimented on how good my bike sounded.
