Default Wide Glide Front End

So....this looks awesome. I wonder if it would look weird on an Iron.

For about the same money you can get a Vulcan kit new, with "no dents" that is guaranteed to fit.

Keeping the stock wheel, I would go mid glide...

Thanks buddy! Since I added the air fork in the caps it's smooth as silk. I don't know enough about parts interchange to say what would be involved with the assembly you linked. If all worked I would say it would be a nice set-up.

Hey Rick, what size is your front tire, 130 or 150? Also How did you get that front fender to fit a wide tire.

I have been think of getting a another iron rear wheel and throwing it in the front.

What exactly does the air do in the front fork, will the additional pressure cause the fork seals to leak. ?

Sorry for all the question, I'm still going back and forth about selling my iron to get a used forth eight. Or upgrading I honestly don't know what would come out cheaper.

The front tire is a 150/80, same as the rear. All the tins came off a 2011 SuperLow. I was having problems with the forks bottoming at times and the air forks was the easiest mod for me at the time. I only run about 8 psi in them, so I doubt there will ever be any leak concerns. My '90 model Lowrider Sport had them from the factory...others as well I'm sure. With the Vulcan kit you can just pick up a cheap 2000 - up wheel off ebay and it bolts right on with the spacers provided with the triple tree kit. The 48 uses a mid-glide with an oddball hub...cheaper and more options to use the Vulcan kit. (These rims are from a '06 RoadKing)

Is the handling any different with the 150mm up front, compared to the 130mm. I just would hate to go down, I love to lean.

Would you swap, the bearing off the old wheel to the new 25mm or just order the axle kit from vulcan to fit the older wheel.

Would you just suggested Drilling and tapping the caps with the air valves of the forks to prevent the front end from bottoming out, or is there a better way?

Also with the Valcon Wide glide, can you drill and tap the top tree to mount the factory head light or does it have to be replace completely?

sorry for all the question.
