Man you guys are rough I didn't jump to conclusions and say looks like an 883 ,must be an 883.I did what chappy99 said but I used 2-stroke oil, just rolled it to the bottom and poured in oil it definitely didn't take 600cc of fluid.I stopped at the dealer and they said they are giving the guy that traded till tonight to call back, they sounded like they would give me money or take the bike back.If I could have rode it I would have known but we have snow.I'll update tomorrow when I know for sure what is going on.
Well the salesman just called me back and yes indeed it is an 883.I told them pay for a 1200 kit,I'll put it in, and they dyno it in or they will take it back.So atleast they are going to take care of it one way or another

Too many red flags. I'd get a refund (if possible) or credit and start over.
I'm glad they're taking care of you sg34. Of course, if they didn't they'd have a fraud case on their hands so really, they either help you out or take the bike back, they don't have the choice.
I think them giving him a 1200 kit is more than fair. They should also install it but if sg34 is willing to do the wrenching then the dealer should JUMP on that.

Probably just an honest mistake then. What dealer was it? And why would you put the kit in make them do it...
The dealer should put it in for you if this is what pretense they sold you the bike under??? That is a hell of a job to do if you ask me... take the pistons, jugs, heads off and re-install... phoque no.
I doubt the dealer is going to put a 1200 kit in, they are business people, it's cheaper for them just to reverse the deal and give you a refund and resale the bike as an 883. That or try to work you a good deal on something else in their dealership. But maybe they are so embarrased over the mistake they'll go for it hoping to save face, it would surprie me though. It's pretty funny someone traded the bike claiming it was a 1200, I wonder if the Previous owner even knew. And you have to think, if the previsou owner is that much of a crook, what else might be wrong with the bike?
Plus, I'm sure they wont let you install anything yourself.
Good thing you didnt buy it private party, you'd have to go though a lot of crap trying to get that righted.
