I'm thinking about using some bar end mirrors but I am confused a bit.
I have 1" OD bars with what looks like a 3/4" ID but all I see online are barend mirrors that say they will fit into 7/8 bars. Should most of them fit into the 3/4" then expand or do you guys think it will be too large to begin with?
7/8 bars are for most bikes but harley.. they might expand a lot but will never fit tight like they are supposed to.. im sure you can find a set made for a harley with 1"bars.. maybe look for a set made for a buell. some expensive custom racing bars are 1" for mx/superbike

Hey Shady, I bought the Oberon bar end signals for my bike and the collets they come with are supposed to fit "internal diameters" from 7/16-7/8". Oberon make the bar end mirrors with the same internal spec and the same type of adjustable collet, as quoted from the ebay website where I bought my signals: To suit internal handlebar sizes from 12mm - 22mm (7/16" - 7/8")
They're up in Ontario and shipped my signals out very quickly. No problems whatsoever. I haven't installed them yet so I can't give you an assessment of that but I don't anticipate any problems with them fitting the internal diameter of whatever bars I end up with. I believe the mirrors would work fine with your bars.
Ya, it's hard to know what "Uses internal clamp system" means. I'd assume it's the same type of expanding collet as used on the other brands. Great price though. I'd call and ask them. Sounds like someone there should be able to tell you exactly what they will fit and how.
I can't stand making trips into ValMart. It's like watching evolution right infront of your eyes and I'm not sure where in the bunch I fit in. Hopefully the deeper end of the gene pool.
I ended up buying the ones I had posted earlier. Fingers crossed.
