Default 72

I got a notifiction from HD on facebook that they have released 2 new bikes...the 72 & the Softail Slim.

So...I got on the HD website to check them out & I gotta say that to me the new Sporty 72 is one of the best looking bikes HD has ever built from the factory!

I am getting ready to trade bikes & have been set on getting a Super Glide Custom for a while now, but now after seeing this I think I'm going to have to see one of these 72s in person and have a good look-over before I pull the trigger on the Super Glide.

It has the simplicity of the 48 & the Nightster, but chromed out & also love the red metal flake paint.

It's one sharp looking bike IMO!
Anyone else checked them out?

They should really stay out of the chopper/bobber market and just leave it to the individual to chop up

Since the price difference between the two is only $1,800, I'd go for the Super Glide Custom. You'll get a 96' engine and a 6-speed transmission.

It's almost $3,000 difference actually. I'm thinking about this because the $1,400 or so in accessories that I would have to buy for the Super Glide, I already have most already on my current Sporty and I could put them right on the 72.
When it's all said & done, it would cost me at least $4,000 more to go with the Super Glide by the time I set it up like I want. I may still do this, but the 72 has me thinking..
I want to see one it person.

I dunno man. The larger engine and extra gear would sell me on the Super Glide. You could always sell your sporty accessories and use that money in buying what you would want for the Super Glide.

I mean, if you were looking to move from your current sporty to a Dyna anyway, why would you want to trade in towards another sporty? The 72 would be almost exactly what you have now, save for the flashy paint job.

JMO.
