Cool my 2012 sportster "not superlow no more"

i added bub sidecutters, cobra fi2000, progressive fork springs, progressive 14.25" 412's, biltwell chumps and mustang 2 up seat.

i wanted a do it all bike, kinda like the ujm's of the 70's. other than desperately needing a larger rear tire (got new ones, but waiting to wear these out first) i think i have succeeded in building a bike that does nothing great, but most things really well.

Cool, you got way more lean for the curves before scraping the hard parts.

You're gonna enjoy that Progressive suspension. It made a big difference on my 2006 Roadster. Hope you put in the recommended 10w fork oil. I put 20w in mine at first, and the front suspension felt like a solid axle. When I put in the 10w, the front felt firm but supple like the rear. Enjoy.

lots of lean angle lol. i took it out to a big parking lot after i got done and tried to make it scrape- and couldnt make it happen. i did put in the heavier fork oil and it rides very well- no more bottoming out at all. cant wait to get it on a twisty stretch of road and put it through its paces

I was looking at a used super low the other day and asked the salesman about taking it back up a few inches. He said that no one had ever asked about that before. Glad to see that I am not the only ne out there concerned about going around the occasional corner.

Okay, I am going to show my ignorance but what are bub sidecutters, cobra fi2000, and biltwell chump? I can't see the difference any difference except for the pipes.

bub sidecutters are the exhaust pipes, the cobra fi2000 is the fuel tuner i used, and biltwell chumps are the handlebars i have on it.

I have lifted my SuperLow as well, although I used Hagon 13" shocks and RaceTech springs with Emulators. The stock forks sag too much, leaving little more than an inch of travel, which is as good a reason as any for making changes there. I have closer to 2" now, plus increased rear travel as well. This thing is hardly a comfortable ride, but it is better than stock!

with the progressives in mine the ride is kinda like a german car- stiff, but not brutally and well dampened. i am running a tad too much preload in the rear at the present time (trying to see if the rear up stance unleashes any handling demons) but it is still very tolerable and waaaaaay better than stock. i am thinking that i may add a bit of preload to the front springs (cut a new spacer about 3/4 inch longer) and see how that does- but that will most likely not happen until after i swap out the 150/60 for a 160/70 (approx 2.25" taller overall) in the rear. glad to see i'm not the only one who saw past the ride height lol.
