I have had my 2011 Nightster for about 6 months now and i am looking to do a stage 1 on it. My problem is i live in CA so when i went to the stealership to try and see what was available it was very limited. I would like to throw some V&H short shots on the bike. And a Stage 1 filter upgrade. Does anyone know of legal black pipes for CA? I am also looking for suggestions on the Air intake. Any help would be much apprechiated.
Yup. I yanked out my intake emissions stuff so I could run a normal breather set up. Look into mreed's cheap filter set up, the thread is on here maybe a page or two back. I had SE stage 1 filter kit when I bought my bike and changed it out for mreed's and couldn't be happier. Also as far as exhaust, as long as you have baffles of some type so the chippy can't stick his nightstick all the way up your exhaust you'll be good.

Thanks i was worried because when i went to the dealer they were saying that most exhaust was illegal to sell and install in CA. Not that i would let them do it i just wanted to see what would jive with my bike. I will still have to pay them like 200 for the stage 1 DL im still like WTF about that really charge that for something that takes like 10 mins and dosent cost them anything really lol.
