quit screwing around and just pop on an Ohlins with my set up than throw in some HP to get it to move.

Yeah, I didn't see a point in explaining a step by step on how to do something I found to not be worthwhile for myself. I figured one could either do the research, or wait for a more knowledgeable person to feel compelled to divulge "the rest of the story".


I have looked at pretty much every option I could think of or find:

XR swap: No thanks.

Marzoccchi RAC48 or 50: I was about ready to just do it, when reason came over me.

Messner's setup: I was very impressed with the knowledge and the research, and I may have shopped some questions at one point. It's still a possible contender.

Storz/Ceriani front end: So far the one that's first on my short list of products.


Anything else that I looked at was geared more for the aforementioned hard-parking crowd. I'm more interested in making a modern vintage-race-inspired bike that can deal more aptly with the mountain routes I am surrounded by over here, (not to mention the best sections of the 101 and HWY 1).
