thx for takeing time to read/reply in advance
I have been considering the same and I don't think any cables are required, but it does call for switch wire extensions.
Which exhaust are you thinking of? Full system? Slip ons?
16 inch apes... look into burly brand they make kits that includes everything you need.
The stock brake line wont work with anything over 9 that includes bending it. I had 8ish z bars and the brake line barely fit. Now i have 10 inch bars and I had to put a new magnum shielding brake cable on it. Its ony 40 inches and barely reaches but its enough to get by.
16" Burly narrow apes on my 48 with the Burly wire and cable kit. I highly recommend it. The dealer always want your $ but if you're changing the exhaust and/or intake I'd suggest looking at nightrider.com and checking out the xied's. It's what I have on mine with screaming eagle slip-on exhaust and Stage 1 Screaming eagle intake.
