Doc: Seems to me to be a lot of $$$ for what is essentially a very sophisticated throttle lock. The device is NOT an actual cruise control as it does not speed up and slow down the bike's speed automatically like real cruise control. IMHO, I would stick with the electronic version from H-D. I have it on my '05 RK Classic and use it continually. ............. B C

I would agree with Big Cholla.... but to each his own...
I'd recommend the ThrottleMate over that, since i can still use my grips of choice. The ThrottleMate is just an extension that fits over the existing throttle lock on the bike. Makes it easier to turn on and off.
I just set my 'throttle lock' with enough tension that the throttle will remain in it's set position when you remove your hand from the grip, while still allowing you to open and close the throttle manually.
Kind of like in the old days when Harley's didn't have a 'return spring' on the throttle, andthey always remained in their set position and had to be opened and closed manually.
Damn that's a nice bike fenderguy! I would like to have that long of a rake.
Thanks...
It's running an additional 14 degrees rake (total of 44 degrees) with a 41mm WideGlide front end, 8" over tubes, and 4-piston front cylinder, chromed lowers, etc...
I 2nd the Sturgis Trottle-mate. Best $20 I have spent to date on my '97 Heritage Classic. Works great even with gloves on. Save the other $100 for more bling.
I dont think that cruise control is even an option on a sportster is it? That is why I saw the product I posted in my previous post was something I saw on The American Thunder TV Show
This throttle mate, can you set this for a long period of time?
