Some ppl like Redkote but I've used it once and it failed. I had a clear inline fuel filter and after a while the glass bowl turned pinkish-red. That led me to believe the fuel was breaking down the sealer.
If your tank is already sealed (all stock tanks are from the factory) the adhesion may be compromised.
Also, I would suggest sealing it after powdercoating. It's more difficult this way but the prolonged high temp from the powdercoating process can reactivate the sealer causing it to release and pool up in the bottom of the tank.
Usually your local radiator repair shop can seal the tank for less than the price of a quality sealer "kit".
