+1 with mreed. I used a shop vac to suck heavy fishing line, then taped them staggered with electric tape. I want to try the light chain trick.

I put mine in shrink tube and heated them up so they would be as tight as possible. Then sprayed some silicone into the bars. Even then I had to pull like a **** to get the wires through. As long as the soldering is good your wires shouldn't come apart

Default Success! One side done...

After taking a break and letting the temper cool down I went back to it.

Took the clutch side wiring, wrapped all the wires up tight in one bundle with electrical tape, took the fishing line and created a noose type loop on it then slipped that over the bundle and started pulling.

Had to pull hard at the bottom but got it through. Ended up breaking one of the soldered joints so I'm gonna unwrap it all and check each one.

Will probably be the weekend before I finish it all up though. Had two root canals done today and hopped up on vicodin and jd...not gonna work on the bike while I'm flying this high =) that's when **** gets f*#ked up...

Weed eater line works great as well. Anything you wrap them in such as tape or shrink wrap you make the bundle real stiff and it will not want to flex around corners and curves.

It makes it easier if you make the wires a few inches longer than you want, strip about 2 inches of the insulation from one wire and loop it through the eye on your pull wire. And wrap the wire around itself. Then strip about an inch from the rest of the wires and wrap them around the stripped part of the first wire staggering them a bit then wrap with a bit of electrical tape to keep them as tight as possible but keep it small. When you get to the tight turn you want to kind of walk it through the turn. If you just pull on the wires as hard as you can, you may strip the insulation from the wires inside. Patience is your friend...

I left my wires in the black stock sheathing as extra insulation to prevent damage and electrical shorts.
