Default Looking for parts...

Hello everybody. So I am new to this, so if I posted this in the wrong section, sorry. I need a right hand casing for a '67 XLCH. I have been told that '59 to '71 will work, except that the early years the oil pump needs a hole blocked...? Just to give you an idea of how lost Iam, I never finished High Schooll and I kknow more about brain surgery than the fleets of Harleys I have. But Hell, I am trying to learn. Anything you can tell me would be great. Thanx, Sean!

Those years oughtta work. But cases for old Sporties are very hard to find, and no one makes repops for 'em, to the best of my knowledge. Make sure if you get a very late one you get the title. I think at least the '71 and maybe the '70 will have serial numbers.

Hey pococj. Thanx for the input. I found a '59 with a clear title, but as for the price, we are still on the:"...I paid $900 US 2 years ago, plus shipping..." etc, etc. Which is cool. A bit much, but the way I look at it now is, I am already into it for so much, not getting this casing would be a waste. However, i do not really need to have it on the road for another 16 1/2 years, as I bought it for my baby girl who is only 1 1/2 yrs old now. As for after market cases, I don't want to go that route, as I want it registered as a Harley, not an '05 custom. And furhter more, They all have serial numbers on them. Which is the problem I have with this one. It is a theft recovery and the serial number has been changed. So, although I could use what I have if I do not register it as a Harley, that isn't why I bought it. (I hope that makes snese.) Thanx, Sean!
P.S. Any further ideas you think might work will be greatly appreciated!
