Just FYI my street glide shocks have been sold. And as several people felt the need to point out in PM's yes you can get a set on eBay for around 100 bucks or sometimes less. What you need to know is that if these shocks are not stored properly, upright and vertical or with the air port sealed and plugged the oil will leak out and they will not work properly. Something you will not know if you buy them on eBay. That being said I sold mine for $125.00 shipped. Which I thought was a fair price, less than half of retail. The shocks are heavy and it's going to cost at least 20 bucks or more to ship.

So thanks to everyone who pointed out that 100 bucks was too much and they could get them cheaper on eBay. Good luck with that and sometimes you do get what you pay for.

If I had known this before I just bought 412s for my bike two days ago...lol I would have checked that out. Will keep in mind for the future though. Either way at this point even the 412s are a vast improvement from what i was used to, so I am happy for now. Thanks for the info.

This thread has me interested. If anyone has a set of RK shocks cheap enough, I would give this a try.

I put 13" RK shocks on my Nightster and it has been the best comfort mod that I've done to my bike. I got them off ebay for $50 shipped and couldn't be happier. It has changed the feel of my bike greatly. Before, every bump felt like someone punching me in the kidneys and now I can't feel any of the bumps at all. My front forks are still very rigid but the back just floats down the road. Well worth the money. Anyone that has them on knows what I'm talking about. . .you won't regret the purchase.

Anybody have an opinion on theses shocks? The take offs I'm finding are $70 -$90 and black, My bide is an 05 1200c so I would like to stay with chrome. Thanks, JF

Are those the Ultima air shocks? I know they make a chrome alternative that supposedly are just as good as the HD take offs. I don't have any personal experience with them, but have seen them mentioned in posts with no complaints.

Sailrider - that's a fair price for SG shocks. The ones that go cheap are the 13" RK shocks. I paid a premium for mine too since they came properly stored, sealed, and had less than 500 miles on them. I got the air line and fittings kit as well. $125 well spent in my opinion.

I'm running Ultra shocks on my bike. No air. Love the ride.

Just some info for people running bagger shocks. The air you put in them are for REBOUND only. Air has no effect on the preload.

You can learn a lot about bagger shocks in the bagger side of the forum.

Just put street glide chrome air shocks on my 1200 custom.. Bike rides and handles like A dream. No more bottoming up even 2 up.. Very easy install just need a couple washers for clearance from belt guard cause of the diameter difference.. Bought brand new from kc international out of ohio.. Well worth the money paid..
