I think roadkings come in 13.5 or 11.75" I am pretty sure the 13s are more common to find. If they are bigger than your your stocks then yes they will raise the stance.
Plenty of threads on here about fitting the air shocks off touring bikes on Sportys. Well worth taking a little time reading through a few. Use 'search this forum' and use 'air shocks'.

Reason: Added sentence.
? Aren't big bike shocks designed for bigger bikes? Like putting bus shocks on a F-150?
Can anyone say what a Sportster rides like with Roadking shocks?
They are suppose to ride a lot better. Since the stock sportys are crap shocks the air shocks from road kings are said to be a vast improvement. I don't think weight is that big of a deal you just adjust the psi in the rk shocks.

Interesting theory. As a Road King owner I can say the air shocks on a Road King are Crap ! I wouldn't waste my time or money unless they somehow ride better on a Sportster. Cruise on over and look around the touring forums. A lot of discussion on how crappy the touring air shocks are and most people replace them with Ohlins, progressive ect.
That being said I have a pair of air shocks from a 2011 Street Glide if your interested. Sell them to you CHEAP !

It's a night and day difference, really smooths out the bumps, and I had what are supposed to be the "better" shocks on my Custom, it's like a different bike, I'm even planning to keep my stock seat now.
We run the air shocks at a lot lower PSI, some guys even run them with no air (0 psi).
Those SG shocks are the same ones I have, since they are the lower ones and didn't change my ride height. "Bang for the buck", it's probably the best thing I've bought for my bike, plus they install in less than an hour, using stock hardware and a couple extra washers. They don't look half bad on the Sportster either.
