I've been toying with a few ideas, which I should have nailed down while the bike was completely apart, but I didn't so I'm asking for opinions. Here's a mock up of some colors of the bike prior to the rockers, forks, trees, shocks, controls... all getting the PC black treatment. With everything else being so dark (satin black) what do you guys think for colors???
Of the colors above, I like the brownish/red. Paint and scheme is a tough choice. I'm having a hard time with mine. Good luck man. Gonna look awsome blacked out like that.
I have to say I like the looks of the bike the way it is in your sig the best, but out of the three colors above, the brownish color is the best.
I'm just a little worried that with everything being so blacked out that it just seems blah with the "hammered" silver on the tank sides. I thought about just stripping it down to bare metal there and clearing over it too.
This damn paint **** is like reinventing the wheel. It's all been done. I've thought of different ideas I've never ran with. One idea was newspaper clipping the tank and clearing it. (Paper mache) I never did follow through with that. Copper plating was another idea. I'm a big fan of killerpaint.com and patrickguyton.com if I wanted to spend the money. Those guys are geniouses. I always try to think of **** no one else would to be different.
